The LightReel Mini-Fest is a condensed, one-day version of the acclaimed LightReel Film Festival, designed to deliver an engaging cinematic experience in a focused format. Held twice annually at the Angelika Pop-Up in Union Market, the Mini-Fest showcases themed programming that highlights diverse and innovative storytelling. Love in Different Hues, scheduled for February, celebrates love in all its forms through powerful and evocative films, while One Night Frights in October features a thrilling selection of horror and suspense. These Mini-Fests offer film enthusiasts a chance to enjoy curated screenings, connect with filmmakers, and engage in thought-provoking discussions, all within the vibrant setting of Washington, DC’s Union Market District.

LightReel Film Series

The LightReel Film Series is a curated, themed showcase designed to captivate both cinephiles and casual film fans. Each monthly screening features a thoughtfully selected film that reflects the series’ mission to celebrate diverse storytelling and cinematic artistry. Every presentation is enhanced by an engaging introduction and a post-film discussion led by LightReel Film Festival founder Tim Gordon, providing unique insights and fostering meaningful dialogue among attendees. Launching in March at the Angelika Pop-Up Theater in Union Market, the LightReel Film Series offers an intimate and enriching experience, bringing film enthusiasts together to connect over their shared passion for cinema.
