About LightReel Film Festival
LightReel is a multi-day film festival in Washington, DC, celebrating Black and BIPOC storytellers through film screenings, live conversations, and cultural events.
Held in the Union Market District, LightReel brings together filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences for four days of discovery, dialogue, and community. From bold new films to dynamic industry conversations and signature social events, LightReel is designed to be both a celebration and a gathering place for storytellers and supporters of BIPOC cinema.
