LIGHTREEL FILM FESTIVAL 2027

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase, reservation, and use of LightReel8 festival passes, individual tickets, and eligible digital programming associated with the LightReel Film Festival 2027.

LightReel8 takes place June 3–5, 2027, in Washington, DC, with LightReel at Home (LaH) presented June 7–9, 2027.

By purchasing or using a festival pass, reserving a screening, or obtaining an individual ticket, attendees agree to comply with the applicable purchase conditions, admission requirements, and published festival policies.

Pass benefits and screening access depend on the pass category purchased. Not every festival program is included with every pass.

Pass Benefits

LightReel8 offers several pass categories designed to accommodate different festival experiences.

  1. Pass benefits vary according to the pass category selected at the time of purchase.
  2. Benefits may include advance screening reservations, admission to eligible films, filmmaker conversations, industry programs, and designated special events.
  3. Certain gala presentations, including Opening Night, Closing Night, and Spotlight films, may require separate admission or a qualifying pass.
  4. Purchasing a pass does not automatically reserve a seat for every screening or event.
  5. Passholders must comply with the reservation and admission requirements associated with their specific pass.

Reservation Changes and Cancellations

Three-Hour Cancellation Policy

  1. Reservations must be canceled at least three hours before the scheduled start of the screening or event.
  2. Passholders should cancel through the available Eventive reservation management process.
  3. Reservations not canceled within the required period may be classified as late cancellations or no-shows.
  4. Canceling a reservation does not guarantee availability for a replacement screening.
  5. Changes to reservations remain subject to pass eligibility and available inventory.

Important: Attendees are encouraged to release reservations they no longer intend to use so other festivalgoers may access those seats.

No-Shows
  1. A no-show occurs when a registered attendee fails to attend a reserved screening without canceling within the required three-hour period.
  2. Unused reservations reduce availability for other festival attendees.
  3. Passholders are expected to manage their reservations responsibly.
  4. Any specific penalties for repeated no-shows will be published before the festival.

LightReel8 encourages attendees to reserve only those programs they reasonably expect to attend.

Arrival and Admission

  3. Late admission may be restricted after a screening begins.
  4. Unless otherwise stated, seating is general admission within the applicable ticket category.
  5. Reservations do not guarantee a specific seat.
  6. Attendees must follow festival and venue check-in procedures.

Admission procedures: Final check-in deadlines, seat-release times, and late-entry requirements will be announced before the festival.

Additional Reservation Inventory
  1. Canceled reservations and additional seating inventory may become available after initial reservation windows open.
  2. Newly available reservations remain subject to pass eligibility and venue capacity.
  3. Additional inventory may be released through Eventive without guaranteeing availability to any particular attendee.
  4. Standby, rush admission, or at-the-door ticketing procedures may be announced separately.

Passholders should review the official reservation platform for updated screening availability.

Refunds and Final Sales

Refund eligibility, cancellation deadlines, and any applicable processing fees will be governed by the refund policy published at the time of purchase.

  1. Purchasers should review the refund conditions displayed during checkout.
  2. A request to cancel a screening reservation is separate from a request to refund a purchased pass or ticket.
  3. Refund requests must be submitted through the designated ticketing support process.
  4. Unused reservations do not automatically qualify a passholder for a refund.
  5. Any exceptions resulting from festival cancellation or material event changes will be handled under the applicable published purchase terms.

Policy pending: LightReel's specific refund window and final-sale deadlines must be confirmed before this page is used as the final purchase agreement.
